The Occupation Is The Mountain, You Can't Move It, It Moves You

The Occupation Is The Mountain, You Can't Move It, It Moves You
So imagine a civic life that is not directed from the corner office of the skyscrapers of finance and commerce. Instead look to our society's public space and find the decisions that effect the people are made by the people. What then?

I put my bet on people free to inspire, screw up, be inefficient, radical, uncontrolled - in the commons. Keep the McDonalds and Halliburton and Chase Bank out of the park. Take Tommy Jeff and Jimmy Mad up on their idea that - if you keep the fundamentalists out, let the people play in their 1st Amendment freedoms- we will govern ourselves better.

There is a lot to do, isn't there, brethren. We have racist incarcerations by the millions, toxicity from pipelines, smokestacks, crops and meat factories, wars that go on for decades in tragic absurdity, death by environmental depression, landscapes covered in pavement and pain, the Earth demonized and love narrowed to sexual bigotry of bosses. Lord help us.

As for this list of agonies, I know that not all of you in this church are USAers, but you can take what you need and leave the rest. Amen?
The comeback of America will come from letting Americans in public space together again. No - got that wrong - from Americans demanding to be in public space again! Let the occupation go on and on! Revolujah!

If we have engaged the macho in the city cops and they must have their Alamo - our occupation will continue - there is a threat in the morning - we'll be there...

There is a Lakota Sioux prophecy that the Earth will rise up to cleanse itself and re-balance. And that the people will rise up at the same time. The Earth, however will be the leader in this erupting era, and if the people do not rise with a great force - they will be swallowed up in the Earth and end their time here.

I believe that if we occupy our Commons, that our uprising will have the force of the Earth in it, and we will live peacefully.
Revolujah!
